The Selichot Service serves as the opening of the High Holy Day season with its prayers and readings focusing on repentance and promises of renewal in the New Year. Selichot Services begin with Havdallah and light refreshments at 9 p.m. followed by refreshments. At 10 p.m. there is a brief dedication of the memorial plaques which have been installed in the past year followed by the Selichot Service.
