OUR MISSION

The Federation fosters Jewish communal life through the spirit of tzedakah (righteousness) and tikkun olam (social justice). The Federation's mandate is to initiate, to coordinate and to preserve activities, which strengthen Jewish life locally, in Israel and throughout the world.

Why Federation Offers PJ Library

"It is exactly when children are learning to appreciate books that they need to be exposed to Jewish stories. PJ Library enables every home to have a library of Jewish children's stories all their own."

Eileen Freed, Federation Interim Executive Director

FREE JEWISH STORIES AND SONGS FOR KIDS!

Reading stories and listening to music before bed with parents, grandparents and siblings are among a child's most powerful and nurturing early learning experiences. Each child, six-months to 6 years old, enrolled in the PJ Library, will receive a monthly gift of a Jewish book or CD absolutely free.

With the support of the Mandell and Madeleine Berman Foundation, the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor has partnered with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to offer young families a treasury of Jewish books and CDs.
