Security Campaign

Join us in creating a more secure and prepared Jewish Greater Ann Arbor

The sharp rise in hate crimes and anti-Semitic rhetoric throughout the world has left many members of the Jewish community with significant concern about individual safety and community security. A recent ADL report shows a 57% increase in anti-Semitism since 2016

This increase in anti-Semitism and targeted violence has led Jewish communities throughout the country and world to reassess current security measures. Since the October 2018 attack on the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, the Greater Ann Arbor Jewish community has come together to work on strengthening safety and security protocols. Our resolve to continue this work is only reinforced by the recent tragedy at the Chabad Congregation in Poway, CA.

Here in Greater Ann Arbor, we are focused on a proactive approach-accounting for the diverse interests and sensitivities of our organizations and members- to ensuring we have the best facilities, training, and protocols possible to keep our community safe and prepared. Creating a safer community will take collaboration and support, and we ask you to join us in this partnership by donating to our Security Campaign. Funds raised from this campaign will ensure our community and its organizations and congregations are as secure as possible.

The time is now. Please join us by making a pledge today.
